Privacy notice

What we collect when you use this site or enquire about a residence, why we hold it, and how to make us stop.

1. Who is responsible

AYLAAA Residential is the data controller for everything described here. Our address is on the Contact page and our data protection contact is privacy@aylaaa.com.

2. What we collect

What you give us: your name, email, phone number and whatever you write in an enquiry. What we work out: the residences you viewed, the searches you ran, and roughly where you are from your IP address. If you become a client we also hold identity documents, because the law requires us to check them.

3. Why we hold it

To answer your enquiry and arrange viewings, to send you residences if you asked for them, to meet anti-money-laundering obligations, and to understand which parts of this site are useful. We do not sell your details to anyone, ever.

4. Our legal basis

Your consent for marketing emails, which you can withdraw in one click. The performance of a contract for anything to do with a sale. A legal obligation for identity and source-of-funds checks. Our legitimate interest in running and improving the business for the rest.

5. Who else sees it

The portals we list on, when you ask us to market your home. Our conveyancing and referencing partners, when a sale is under way. Our email and analytics providers, who process on our behalf under contract. Regulators and courts, when we are legally required to hand something over.

6. Cookies

One cookie remembers your language and theme choice. Analytics cookies load only after you accept them, and they measure pages rather than people. Refusing them changes nothing about how the site works for you.

7. How long we keep it

Enquiries that go nowhere: two years. Client files: seven years after completion, because tax and anti-money-laundering rules say so. Marketing consent: until you withdraw it. Analytics: twenty-six months.

8. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to us using it, or ask for it in a portable format. Write to privacy@aylaaa.com and we will answer within thirty days. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

9. Keeping it safe

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to the people who need it, and identity documents are held separately from everything else. If a breach puts you at risk we will tell you and the regulator without delay.

10. Children

This site is not intended for anyone under sixteen and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

If this notice changes materially we will say so on this page and, where we hold your email, write to you before the change takes effect.
